At Articulate, we’re working hard every day to provide you with e-learning tools that are quick, easy, and powerful. Another one of our goals is to “empower everyone to become an e-learning hero.” It’s always been part of our mission. Check it out.

But, what does this really mean?

Having software that lets you easily create e-learning courses is one thing. Knowing how to use the software to build effective e-learning is another. That’s why we’re committed to more than just selling the software. We’re also committed to your success and making sure that you get the most out of the investment you’ve made in our tools. Because of this, we’re excited to announce the launch of E-Learning Heroes — our new user community site. We’ve created a place where you can connect with others, get all sorts of practical tips & tricks, and download a bunch of free stuff. Now it’s even easier to get what you need to be an e-learning hero.

Tons of free downloads. Sometimes it’s easier to use a template than it is to start from scratch. So we’ve included loads of course assets to help you build courses. And we’ll be adding more all the time.

Get your questions answered. The Articulate community is made up of a wide range of experts like our MVP superheroes who have shown a willingness to help. So you’re going to be able to connect with peers who have all sorts of expertise and who can help you out by offering quick tips and tricks.

Hundreds of tutorials. We’ve created a huge library of tutorials. They’re organized by product so you can get quick help in mini-bites. You’ll find not only easy-to-follow screencasts (none of which are longer than 5 minutes), but also step-by-step text that makes things crystal-clear.

Learn to build courses. Many of you are just getting started, so we developed an entire section where we walk through the process of building a course from scratch to finish. We’ve included all of the practice files for you to download and use on your own.

Ongoing help from the Articulate team. We’ve included a few more blogs and resources to help you out. Both Jeanette and David, our community managers, have blogs where they show you how to get the most out of the tools and build great e-learning courses. You’ll also see many of our support staff and engineers in the community. On top of that, you’ll continue to get superhero help from our great group of Articulate MVPs (now called Superheroes).

We’ll keep the former community forums open for new posts through February 21st so you have time to transition to E-Learning Heroes. (But don’t worry, even after February 21st, the old community forums will be archived so you can always browse old content.) We’re really excited about the new community and look forward to connecting with all of you.

So don’t delay, get your free E-Learning Heroes account today!

Kudos to Articulate! I made the right decision to use Articulate a few years ago. With the launching of this new E-learning community, I have no doubt it will add significant value to the product. I have a suggestion: why not offer an Articulate widget badge that members of the community can put up on their website or blog and proudly declare “I’m a member of Articulate community”. I don’t mind promoting it.

Another suggestion – maybe we can have a member directory that have details such as field of expertise, services provided, website, blog, etc. I think this would be useful for networking.

The new site design makes it easier to search for and find the valuable resources we need and “crave”. GREAT JOB!

I especially like the “Friends” pages, and how much easier it is to send PMs (private messages) to our community members.

Kudos to you all, and I’m excited to see what you’ll add to the E-Learning Heroes site.
