Guru Honorable Mentions: eVision Calling Card & ATLAS Course

Today we’ve got an Articulate Guru double feature for you!
We’re honoring not one but two Honorable Mentions from the Articulate Guru Awards. The courses were submitted by Darla Wigginton and Diana Jaffee, the creative and resourceful duo heading up eVision Design.
eVision Design Calling Card
The first example is a marketing and education tool that eVision created to answer common questions from current and potential clients regarding eVision’s services. Check it out:

What the judges liked: Judges noted that this is a great example of how to use Articulate tools for more than just e-learning! It’s a clever, interactive way to reach out to prospects. The judges liked the way the course uses upbeat background audio, on-slide video, presenter panel video, and well-paced narration to create a welcoming, personal feel.
The judges were especially wowed by the Interactive Lab section — the compelling slide design and hyperlinked options really draw you in! I mean, who wouldn’t want to click on the teal-green lava lamp or the concoction labeled “Do Not Touch”?

The ATLAS Course
eVision’s second Honorable Mention is an inspiring course that Darla and Diana built with Ioanna Fergadioutou, an instructional designer in Athens, Greece. The trio developed the course together on behalf of ChildFund International. You might remember seeing this course in a previous post, because in 2010 it was honored as one of the top five winners in the LINGOs eLearning Global Giveback Competition. Now it’s receiving even more fanfare, since it’s also been named as an Honorable Mention in the Articulate Guru Awards! Have a look:
What the judges liked: The judges appreciated the consistent and eye-pleasing visual design, effective use of both Articulate Engage and Articulate Quizmaker throughout the course, and the way the designers effectively organized a large amount of content into manageable pieces.
