elearning conferences fall 2010

Here in Upstate New York the leaves have begun to show signs of fall: Vibrant orange, fire red, and bright yellow. A chill is in the air, and for those runners among us, it’s perfect weather for marathon season.

For the rest of the elearning community, it’s conference season, and Articulate staff will be busy attending a marathon of events in the coming months.

Here are highlights of upcoming events where you’ll find us across the U.S. this fall and early winter:

October 12, 2010: How to Become a Rapid E-Learning Pro

West Baton Rouge Conference Center, Port Allen, LA

Join the Baton Rouge Chapter of ASTD as they learn from Tom Kuhlmann, VP of Community, and David Anderson, Community Manager, about how to become a rapid e-learning pro. The session covers how to get results with rapid e-learning, how to quickly create reusable assets and templates, and a look at some instructional design models for effective courses.

October 22, 2010: ASTD Valley of the Sun – Annual Conference

Scottsdale, AZ

San Francisco, CA

This event by the eLearning Guild is a supercharged conference and expo for e-learning professionals who are involved in the design, development, or management of e-learning. DevLearn offers over a hundred sessions covering the latest e-learning tools, technologies, and strategies.

Articulate VP Tom Kuhlmann is leading two info-packed sessions on Rapid Instructional Design and Cultivating a Shared Practice Community. Community Manager David Anderson is also leading a session called E-Learning Deconstruction: How I Built this e-Learning Course. You won’t want to miss them!

Indianapolis, IN

The Central Indiana Regional Conference will bring together a collective group of learning and performance professionals from across the Midwest to network, learn and inspire — all with the shared objective of enhancing skills within the core competencies of the training profession. Articulate Community Manager Jeanette Brooks will be speaking at this conference from 2 till 3:15 p.m. on “Making the Leap to E-Learning” and will feature lots of PowerPoint and Articulate tips. November 18, 2010: ASTD Mid-NJ Fifth Annual Technology Showcase

Bridgewater, NJ

This premiere annual learning and development event in the tri-state area will feature a keynote, a case study presentation and a panel discussion focusing on the implementation of social learning tools and Web 2.0 technology for learning. The Tech Showcase is a terrific opportunity to network with your professional colleagues – and you’ll also have a chance to meet and chat with Articulate VP Don Freda!

December 1, 2010: ASTD Charlotte

Charlotte, NC

The Charlotte, NC chapter of ASTD and Bank of America co-host this 2010 Day of Learning Conference. This dynamic event is the Charlotte Chapter’s contribution to ASTD’s Employee Learning Week activities. Articulate will have a sponsor’s booth and provide product demonstrations of our latest offerings.
