Articulate Studio ’13 Update 2 is now available! It includes Section 508 support, new translation features, enhanced HTML5 output, and more.
Make Content Accessible
Studio ’13 now features industry-leading Section 508 support, making it easy to deliver content to all your learners, including those with screen readers.
You can also make content available to learners on the go by creating audio-only versions of your courses. Studio ’13 now lets you export your narration to a single MP3 file that can be played on smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
Localize for Global Audiences
Now you can easily translate Quizmaker quizzes, Engage interactions, and Presenter player text. Export text to Microsoft Word or XML for translation, then import edited text back into the software with formatting preserved. You can even use the new translation features to simplify reviews by legal departments and subject matter experts.
Studio ’13 Update 2 now also supports non-Western languages, including right-to-left scripts—such as Arabic and Hebrew—and double-byte character sets (DBCS)—such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
Enhance Your HTML5 Output
Articulate Presenter ’13 now supports even more Microsoft PowerPoint animations and slide transitions in HTML5 output, giving you more ways to tell your story. You can also display sidebar videos (often called “talking heads”) and elapsed/total time in your HTML5 courses.
With this update, we’ve revamped the slide properties in Presenter ’13, so you have more control over which player elements appear on each slide. For example, you could display a course logo on some slides and hide it on others.
We’ve also improved the quality of videos in published courses by as much as 300 percent. Just republish a course to see the improvement. For even better results, remove the video, import it again, then republish.
