Congratulations to Ah-Ha! Media, the Bronze Winner of the First Annual Articulate Guru Awards!

Ah-Ha!’s entry demonstrates an excellent combination of product use, bringing together Articulate Presenter, Quizmaker, and Engage into a clean design with easy navigation, professional layout, and the inclusion of a slide interaction (slide 7), a tab interaction, and a quiz (last slide). Also note the scenario-based activities (slides 8-14) and the use of Presenter’s slide levels feature to group together related content elements.

There are key historic cases that set legal precedents for the way sexual harassment training is now delivered in all companies to all employees. In this module, employees will review these cases and understand how they influenced the laws created to define and manage sexual harassment.

The learning outcomes for this module are:

• Understand the laws that define sexual harassment
• Explore the cases that set the legal precedents
• Recognize the various forms of harassment that might take place at work

The experience begins with Articulate Presenter, where the learner is guided through a series of slides that explore sexual harassment law. From here, the Timeline Interaction — created with Articulate Engage — is used to illustrate the historic cases that set important precedents. Lastly, the learner is tested on his or her knowledge of the material with a 5-question Articulate Quizmaker assessment.

What are your tips for people getting started with Articulate products?

The best way to get started with Articulate products is to dive right in with a topic that interests you. Fulfill that dying urge to tell the world about the “Origins of the Flying Spaghetti Monster” by putting together a short documentary in Articulate Presenter. Before long, you’ll be surprised at your command of the software and how remarkably easy the creative process has become.

Why do you use Articulate products?

There’s no better product on the market for rapid e-learning development. The learning curve is minimal; the price, affordable; and the results, stunning. Before the age of Articulate, creating an interactive learning experience required costly, sophisticated Flash programming and animation. Now, we can spend more time writing the perfect lesson and less time worrying about how to translate it to the computer screen.
