Top 100 Learning Tools
“Articulate is a quantum leap for lecturers in their ability to deliver multimedia lessons.” –David Flanders
Jane Hart recently asked elearning professionals, “What are your favorite tools for learning?” The results are in, and I’m pleased to say that our products rank in the top 25 of the Top 100 Tools for Learning (also available as a PDF).
Interestingly, the tools run the gamut from the popular Web browser Firefox (#1 overall) to communication tools like Skype (#3). Even the written word / paper came in at #43. Scattered throughout the list are elearning authoring tools like the Articulate Rapid E-Learning Studio (#22 overall).
Along with our relatively high overall ranking, Articulate clocked in at #5 on Jane’s list of the most visited tools on her site in August:
You can browse the top 10 lists of the 109 individual contributors, where you’ll find comments about our products, including those from people like Cathy Moore and Steve Rayson.
You can also view my top 10 tools, along with recommended tools by category.
Thanks for organizing this effort and for providing this valuable resource, Jane!

Hi Gabe,
I am creating a new color scheme for engage that our dept is going to use. Dave Mozaleaous’s presentation on creating custom color schemes is great info but it didn’t give the details on items #8 through #20 in xml files. (for example what happens when I change the hex value for listselect and listhover?)
My problem is I am trying to change the color in the interaction tab- when you you click on the tab is that activenavbutton or listselect?
I tried changing list select it didn’t seem to make a difference.. Thanks Ipek
Hi Ipek- You might want to post this question in our community forums since Dave’s tips on creating custom color schemes is an unsupported work-around.
