Articulate Earns Brandon Hall Awards for Excellence in Technology

Back in 2005, I accepted the award for Articulate when Articulate Presenter 5 received the Gold Medal in the Innovative Technology category of Brandon Hall’s Excellence in Learning awards. I remember it like it happened yesterday. It took place in conjunction with the Training Fall conference in Long Beach, California, in a swank ceremony, business attire required (ugh, I don’t like wearing ties).

Since then much has changed. Presenter ’09 has replaced Presenter 5. Training Fall is no more. The award ceremony that took place yesterday happened over the web, not in an upscale hotel ballroom. I joined the webcast wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt from my home office. And, Brandon Hall reengineered their awards programs to honor customer use of online learning in one program, and vendor innovation of e-learning technology products in the other. The latter is the one we entered last year when it was announced.

Two Golds and a Bronze

Clearly, much has changed but some things have not. Just like in 2005, Articulate once again earned gold in the Brandon Hall awards.

In fact, we earned two Gold Medals and a Bronze:

  • In the category that Brandon Hall stated received the most submissions — Best Advance in Technology for Rapid AuthoringArticulate Studio ’09 received a Gold Medal.
  • In the Best Advance in Technology for Testing or Evaluation, Articulate Quizmaker ’09 earned Gold as well.
  • And, in the Best Advance in Social Learning Technology, Articulate’s Screenr received a Bronze Medal.

Not too shabby.

“Outstanding Tools & Systems Propel the Learning Profession Forward”

The awards are presented by Brandon Hall Research, one of the leading research firms in training and development. The entries were evaluated by independent judges around the world.

“These outstanding tools and systems propel the learning profession forward,” said Brandon Hall, Ph.D., chairman of the Awards program. “These innovative products let customers make learning faster, better, and easier.”

Thank you judges, and thank you Brandon Hall. You honored “innovative products that let customers make learning faster, better, and easier” – and that’s what we’re all about. Thanks for affirming what we aim to do with all of our products. That’s an Articulate product design objective that will never change.

Congratulations, Articulate!

Screenr.com is a fantastic free tool, with thousands of users world wide. If I had been a judge, I would have voted for a Gold for Screenr.

Thank you for your products!
