Last week I joined Mark and Tom in Atlanta for the Training 2009 Conference & Expo to spend two full days demoing Articulate Studio ’09 to show-goers looking for an elearning solution. A number of current customers also stopped by to sing our praise and tell us how much they love our software.

As is usually the case at industry conferences, it was non-stop action for us, with rows of people often five or six deep. One woman asked me after finally battling her way to my demo station: “What’s it like to be the hottest booth at the show?”

I would sometimes feel badly for our neighboring exhibitors when I’d glance around and see empty booths through the crowds of people gathered at ours.

I also heard a number of other comments like these:

  • “This is the best product I’ve seen so far.”
  • “I’ve heard your name at least 30 times already today.”
  • “Articulate is so easy to learn, and the support is great.”

All that and we won the Rapid Learning Content Development Shootout, which pits elearning software vendors against one another in a live event to demonstrate how to effectively build learning content. Audience members then vote for the software that allowed the content developer to create the best elearning possible in the short time allotted for the competition.

Congrats to Tom for putting on a fine demonstration of how to create compelling elearning content. Over at Tom’s blog today, you can read all about how he converted a not-so-interesting course into something much more engaging in this post: Here’s How You Can Save Your Training Job in this Economy.
