Engage Wins Bronze Excellence in Learning Award

Imagine finishing in the top 3 of the Indianapolis 500 while driving a Formula 1 car that’s only got three of its four wheels. Unheard of? Probably is in the automotive racing world, but that’s pretty much what we did last week in the e-learning world.

As a competitive bunch here at Articulate, we were initially humbled a bit by our first bronze award — we’re used to winning the gold in every competition we’ve entered to date.

But then we remembered — the product that won the bronze last week in the annual Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards was an early development version of Engage. So at the time we entered this contest in April 2006, we had not even released Engage to the market, which we did a full six months later in October 2006.

Engage won the bronze in the Learning Technology Category. And we’re very proud of the recognition. A big congrats goes out to the product development team on winning an award for a product that wasn’t even done at the time! Think for a moment about how cool that is. I think that’s pretty impressive.

And based on the incredible response and great feedback we’ve gotten so far to Engage, I think it’s fair to say that the product is a gold medal winner in the eyes of our customers.

Couple Engage with Presenter, which won the gold in last year’s Brandon Hall Awards, and you’re looking at a powerhouse duo of rapid e-learning development tools.

I’m a recent Articulate Engage customer, and it’s earned a Gold Medal in my book. It’s truly an amazing product, and it’s only fair for your competition that you submitted it with only “3 wheels.”

Congratulations, folks. But did you notice an additional Articulate presence? If you go to slide 49 in the powerpoint presentation announcing winners that is available on the Brandon Hall web site, you will see that the illustration for the silver winner Surgient (for their Virtual Labs for On-demand learning) uses Articulate Quizmaker 2. It certainly is a bonus for you when other companies use Articulate products to win their prizes.
