About Tom

Hi, I’m Tom.  I’m passionate about learning and technology. I’ve spent over 30 years in the training industry, building hundreds of hours of elearning. Along the way, I managed training projects at Capital One, Washington Mutual, and Weyerhaeuser, as well as with various smaller businesses and freelance customers.

I have a Master’s in Education Technology from Pepperdine, where I researched how personal expertise turns into communities of practice. These days, I run the user community at Articulate, where I get to work with e-learning developers every day.

We started The Rapid E-Learning Blog and spent years sharing practical tips here.  In the early days it was the go-to resource for all things e-learning. This blog had a great run, but you’ll find fresh content here at the Articulate resource center or over at Tipsqueak now. I’d love to hear your ideas and learn about your training projects.
