Get 16 Enhancements & Office 2010 Support with Studio ’09 Update 7
Yesterday we enabled in-product update notification for Studio ’09 Update 7, which contains 16 product enhancements and bug fixes across our desktop authoring suite of tools. Released September 16, 2010, this update includes all previous enhancements and bug fixes for Updates 1-6, so when you download Update 7, you’ll have the latest and greatest version of Studio ’09.
What’s new?
For a variety of reasons, we never enabled in-product notification when we released Update 6 on May 20, 2010, so some of you may also be benefiting from an additional 24 enhancements and bug fixes that were included in Update 6.
Here are some highlights about what’s new since Studio ’09 Update 5:
- All Studio ’09 Products: Added support for in-product deactivation (useful if moving your license from an old computer to a new computer)
- Presenter ’09, Quizmaker ’09, Engage ’09: Added support for Office 2010
- Presenter ’09: Added support for .NET 4
- Quizmaker ’09 & Engage ’09: Fixed issue where a McAfee Anti-Virus bug would cause .NET applications to open slowly on first launch
And more!

Thanks, I downloaded/updated succesfully!
does presenter 09 now supports office 2010?
Hi John- Yes. Update 6 and later supports Office 2010.
Gabe, my understanding is that only the 32 bit Office 2010 is supported with 09. Also, can you confirm that the entire Suite (not just Presenter)is supported by Office 2010?
Lincoln- right, 32-bit version of Office 2010 is only one supported (Microsoft recommends the same for any add-ons or ActiveX controls).
Presenter is the only product that is integrated directly with any Office product (PowerPoint), but the others are compatible with Office 2010, yes (e.g., if you’re publishing to Word 2010 from Quizmaker ’09 or Engage ’09).
I am trying to use Presenter (trial version), but when I click on the “record narration” tab I get this message: “Your Articulate Presenter project needs to be upgraded to the new Articulate Presenter ’09 file format” and is as far as I can get. What do I have to do?
Hi Tommaso,
Can you please submit a case and we’ll help you out?

I forgot to mention that this case is with a PPT 2010 presentation on my own template. How do I convert it into an Articulate Presenter template?
Hi,
I’ve just downloaded a trial version of studio pro 09. I’m using office 2010 64 bit and I can;t use any functions with the Articulate tab in powerpoint. I’m receiving the error message “Compile error in Hidden module: bConstantsAndAPIDeclarations.
Can you help?
Thanks Steve
Hi Steve- thanks for the comment. Only the 32-bit version of Office 2010 will work with Articulate Presenter ’09.
