Greg Friese “Engage gives us an intuitive tool to easily create opportunities for students to interact with the content.”

This Engage example from EPS effectively leverages recorded narration, integrated images, and embedded links to related sites in its creative use of the Engage Timeline Interaction to train emergency professionals on “The 7 D’s of Stroke Care.”

Emergency Preparedness Systems, LLC

Greg elaborated on his organization and its use of our software:

Emergency Preparedness Systems LLC is the premier provider of online education content to CentreLearn Solutions. EMTs and paramedics have earned hundreds of thousands of continuing education hours by viewing Articulate Presenter movies from an extensive library of EPS lessons.

James Eastham, CentreLearn CEO, recently told me, “We like to use multimedia instead of distributing print based continuing education. Our audience of emergency responders tends to be younger and very computer literate. Providing multimedia and giving learners interaction opportunities is something they enjoy and expect when sitting in front of a computer. Interactive multimedia holds the learners attention and reinforces the learning process.”

EPS developed the Timeline Interaction 7 D’s of Stroke Care as a content item for a CentreLearn CE lesson on stroke patient assessment and care. The interaction was also used as an interactive supplement to an EMSResponder.com feature article on National Stroke Awareness Month.

Thanks for sharing this example, Greg! It’s great to see how Articulate software is being used to train emergency professionals who save lives on a daily basis.
